Classes & Events at the Les Cheneaux Culinary School

Classes are taught by professional chefs and talented cooks, and offer a seasonal array of ways to celebrate cooking and gathering, with a focus on fresh, local foods in season. Classes are offered in the fall and winter, and will be at the Les Cheneaux Culinary School in downtown Hessel. Les Cheneaux Culinary School also offers a professional chef’s certificate program September through May, followed by a summer internship at the school’s restaurant, Hessel Bay Inn. Les Cheneaux Arts Council

LCAC is a group of talented and diverse artists working in many genres and mediums. It offers events, courses, and workshops dedicated to the promotion of and participation in arts of the Les Cheneaux area. A full slate of summer classes is offered in July and August, wrapping up with a local artisan showcase at the end of August. Classes vary from painting, pottery, drawing, photography, porcupine quill art and much more! Class schedule will be posted here in 2016. See more at

Fiber Arts Classes and Groups

Classes offered right here in the Les Cheneaux Islands in the fuzzy arts of weaving, felt-making, knitting, crocheting, dyeing, spinning and more! Gather with a casual group of fellow knitters. Classes and gatherings will be at the loft above Pickle Point (Pickle Point Too!), and scheduled events will be posted here:
