Les Cheneaux Winter Market “Sip n’ Shop”

Les Cheneaux Farmers & Artisans Market has been refreshed for winter as an indoor “Sip n’ Shop” event at Les Cheneaux Culinary School in downtown Hessel, every Sunday (except Easter) through April 24. Hours are 10 am through 2 pm.

The Culinary School offers student and chef-made artisan loaves and bagels, hot soups to eat on site or take home, house-made stocks, hot locally-roasted Superior Roasting Company coffee, and other beverages and libations, including mimosas, wine and beer, and Bloody Marys starting January 31.

Chef demonstrations are at noon, offering cooking tips and samples!

An ever-changing array of vendors are bringing fresh and preserved local and Michigan produce, local eggs, gourmet baked goods, herbal and floral jellies, essential oil products, gifts and gadgets, fabric art and utility products such as bags, aprons and linens, birch bark frames and wood handicrafts, Lake Superior stones, toys, raw fiber and fiber art, and much, much more! These are just some of the items that have been seen at the market.
