Cedar Shore Soaps
Inspired by Michigan and made in Michigan, Cedar Shore Soaps were developed to illuminate our little-known corner of the world, which provides the inspiration for the natural soaps and home goods that are handcrafted in my workshop. Made using the old fashioned, cold process method, these soaps retain their natural glycerin, thus providing a more moisturizing bar that loves your skin. Scents are inspired by northern Michigan and the Les Cheneaux Islands, and make wonderful gifts for people who love Les Cheneaux! We also make custom party and shower favors. Shop online and by appointment.

Les Cheneaux Arts Council
The Les Cheneaux Arts Council, founded in 1993, is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the promotion, education and participation in the arts in the Les Cheneaux community. The Arts Council offers a wide variety of summer art classes and workshops at the Arts Council Building on Hodeck Street in Cedarville where brochures are available. The schedule of classes is also listed on the organization’s Facebook page – Les Cheneaux Arts Council – as well as on the Chamber of Commerce website. Open Studio is held every Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:30 pm where artists and students can work on their craft, share their talents and network with other artists. The Arts Council hosts an annual art show which begins August 1st and runs for approximately 3 weeks at the Cedarville Lodge. The Les Cheneaux area is rich in unique, artistic talent which is showcased at the exhibit. The exhibit also displays the work from student workshops during the summer. At the conclusion of the exhibit, a reception with refreshments and a silent auction takes place at the Cedarville Lodge. The Arts Council also awards a scholarship every year to aspiring artists entering college. We encourage you to tap into your creativity and take some of our art classes as you celebrate your summer in the beautiful Les Cheneaux Islands.
