Spring, summer and fall are all ideal times for biking and hiking in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. If exploring by paved roads on bicycle, spring and summer are best with less traffic volume. Highway M-134 runs along the Northern Lake Huron stretch provides beautiful vistas, access to the water, nature preserves, and state land. Ther are also numerous two-tracks, backroads and trails to access. Information about where to go can be found at the Welcome Center in Cedarville or Woods and Water Ecotours in Hessel. For mountain bike, cruiser, and children's bike rentals and tours visit Woods and Water Ecotours in Hessel. For a helpful map, see the Eastern Upper Peninsula Bike Map offered by the Michigan Department of Transportation. Don't Forget to pack water, a map and a compass!! Hiking is available in Spring, Summer and Fall, rain or shine. Visit the links below to help guide your way: |
